Prudence McDaniel (class of 1980), and her group, the Marian Anderson String Quartet (MASQ), will be performing a concert in New York City that can be viewed online.
MASQ is an all African-American, female string quartet. The Marian Anderson String Quartet members celebrate 32 years of artistic excellence and service to communities throughout the U.S. and the world. The Marian Anderson String Quartet will be playing at the 92nd St. Y in NYC on the Gateways Around the Town Series as a part of the Gateways Music Festival on April 22nd and on a shared program at The Cooper Union April 23rd. This festival connects and supports professional classical musicians of African descent and enlightens and inspires communities through the power of performance.
