OLD JOKE: How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice!
NEW REALITY: That is exactly how the Roosevelt High School choir is getting there, where they performed. Roosevelt's vocal music department was invited to participate in the Carnegie Hall premiere of Justin Binek's new work Missa Lucis, alongside the Kansas City Kansas Community College Choir and Tiffin University's Up in the Air ensemble. Thirty-seven students-singers have been preparing for weeks to join under the baton of conductor John Stafford II.
Through the TRHS Foundation's Grant Funding Program, the Vocal Music program was able to secure funding to help with costs of the trip!
