We are excited to announce the launch of a farm-to-table series benefiting the TRHS Foundation. We have partnered with our friends at The Wallace Centers of Iowa to host monthly dinners at the historic Wallace House in Sherman Hill throughout the summer of 2023. Chef Katie Porter will treat you to the bounties of Iowa’s summer with a three-course seasonal menu featuring produce from the Wallace Farms near Orient, Iowa.

Additionally, Gateway Market has graciously agreed to assist with wine pairings and donate a portion of the proceeds to the foundation. For each dinner, Wine & Beer Director Nevris Sehic (TRHS ’96) will hand-select optional pairings for the menu. Guests can email him to place an order up to 72 hours before the dinner date. 

 

An optional $10 raffle ticket is available for a produce box of freshly harvested seasonal produce from Wallace Farms and a selection of The Wallace Center’s Abundance Preserved Foods products such as jarred tomato compote, smoked garlic sea salt, and rosemary-orange sea salt.

The final dinner will be held on August 30. Check-in will take place between 6-6:30 p.m. with a welcome spritz and light bites. We will do our best to accommodate seating requests. However, please note that these are intimate dinners in a historic home, so seating flexibility is limited. Larger groups may need to be split into smaller tables to accommodate the space.
